Karen Chuah was born in Penang and is proudly Malaysian. A passion for adventure and travel spurred her to joining Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong in 1988. Starting as a stewardess she quickly moved up the ranks to in-flight manager, Premium Suite Ambassador and coached aspiring front liners. She also proudly the Inflight Service Task force for Cathay Pacific’s award-winning business class as also Premium Service Ambassador for First Class service. She is proud of contributing to and implementing service innovations in line with Cathay Pacific international standards.
Her years of service and coaching have endowed Karen with deep expertise in hospitality and frontline communication skills. As passionate learner, Karen ventured into the training field upon her recent return to Malaysia to share her valuable expertise and experience with local and international companies looking to excel in customer service delivery.
Karen currently consults and trains in Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. She accepts direct training engagements with companies that require her services and specialises in service delivery improvement, communication skills, dealing with difficult situations and enhancing professional development of service delivery staff. She is also a certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming practitioner (NFNLP, USA) and Certified HDRF Trainer.
